We’re Buo, the cheapest supermarket in Europe.

We’re a well-funded, social commerce startup from Barcelona on a mission to disrupt the retail industry by drastically reducing grocery costs for the average consumer.

Our goal is to pay better those who produce and sell cheaper to those who need it. That's why we cut out intermediaries throughout the process and eliminate the main factors that discourage online shopping: shipping, payment methods and the delivery network .

We aggregate consumer purchasing power through team purchases, where users get together to save up to 40% on their day to day shopping by purchasing directly from the supplier and cutting out any unnecessary middlemen.

💌 The position: Head of Growth


This role is ideal for a marketer who is experienced and entrepreneurial who is looking to take full ownership in order to build, scale & lead the marketing department.

We need an experienced marketer with a 360° mindset to take ownership of our Marketing efforts. Go-to-action attitude is crucial in this job, so we need a strategic thinker but also a “doer” with a hands-on attitude.

We have a clear path towards product market fit, and your responsibility will be to help us get there quicker and more efficiently by leading the marketing efforts, testing what works and what doesn’t, attracting quality traffic to the platform and ensuring that the right messages are internally and externally transmitted and communicated.

Your mission, should you choose to accept it:

  • Define, plan and implement Buo’s marketing strategy.
  • Lead, manage, mentor and grow the marketing team.
  • Set specific and measurable marketing goals and objectives.
  • Determine KPIs, tracking them to measure the effectiveness of different marketing strategies at each stage of the funnel.
  • Build and manage Buo’s Community.

In a nutshell, you will be responsible for discovering efficient and sustainable ways to grow Buo’s userbase

🧠 Required Skills & Experience

We know that perfect candidates don’t exist. We’d love to learn more about you. Even if just a few of those apply to you. 🦄

  • You have 4-6 years of experience in a B2C environment, including 2+ years in a marketing leadership position.
  • You have 360º Marketing experience in a digital company. You have the insights and intuition to understand our needs and apply all your experience in the area.
  • You understand how a tech-company works, global KPIs and processes in order to take proper decisions about your role.
  • You have a strong knowledge in brand development, B2C communication and community building
  • You have a hands-on and an early stage mentality by willing to get your hands dirty
  • You pay attention to details and you can demonstrate an excellent ability working with numbers.
  • You are autonomous and you can make your own decisions.
  • You have excellent communication skills and you are proficient in English and Spanish
  • You are very flexible and you can do different tasks at the same time.

  • Being well-read and up-to-speed in the start-up world (preferably in food delivery or ecommerce) is useful

📇 Our application process

We try our best to keep a clear process for the role. Here's how you should expect the hiring process to be like:

  1. Submit our online application form (5-10 minutes) depending on how creative you get
  2. 10 minute phone call so you can learn more about the role/company and see if there is a potential fit.
  3. Take home business case
  4. 1 hour interview with one of the company's founders
  5. Depending on step 4 we might ask for a 30 minute interview with Investor/Advisor.
